Questions people ask
- How can I check whether an institute is really IATA authorised?
- Ask for its IATA Authorised Training Centre details and check them against IATA's own published list of training partners. Teaching IATA syllabus content is not the same as being authorised to enter students for IATA examinations, and only the second one gives you an IATA certificate.
- What should I ask about career support before I enrol?
- Ask how many students were placed last year, with which employers, and whether the institute arranges interviews or only forwards vacancies. A specific answer naming companies is a good sign. A percentage with no detail behind it is not.
- Does a higher fee mean a better institute?
- Not on its own. Compare what the fee includes: IATA examination fees, the number of training hours, grooming and communication classes, and career support. A lower fee that leaves out the IATA examination can cost more once you add it back.
- Does the institute need to be near an airport?
- It is not essential, but it helps. Being close to an airport makes visits, internships and interview access easier. Kerala has four international airports, so most campuses in the state are within reach of one.
